Dubai Museum is located in the Al Fahidi Fort, which is one of the oldest buildings in Dubai amidst the modern concrete skyscrapers. The AlFahidi fort dates back to 1787 and was converted as a museum in 1971. The Fort and the Courtyard of the museum gives an old world feel, like finding an oasis in the middle of a desert, amidst the futuristic vision and growth of Dubai. The museum has various dioramas that tell the story of the traditional life of Arab People and a glimpse to their struggles living in the desert and near the sea.
